Tree and Fog at Sunset
Happy New Year
A few of my friends have commented recently that this year seems to have passed incredibly quickly. I am not sure if that is a true reflection of my year, it certainly appears to have gone by at a tremendous pace. Has it in fact passed more quickly, or is it that it just appears that way because they, and I have been particularly busy? Time is however not a constant, Einstein theorised this, which later Eddington proved.
The coming of a new year is a time when most of us reflect on past events, and make plans and resolutions for the future. This year for me is no exception. I made the decision a week or so ago to launch an Outward Vision page on the social networking website Facebook. I have to admit to being slightly reluctant to do so, but I eventually gave in to a bit of peer pressure in an attempt to keep up with the pace of modern progress.

This month Image of the Month is of a tree in winter bordering the edge of a field on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The composition is simple and the brilliant colour of sunset is diffused somewhat by the low-lying thick fog, which is a common occurrence during winter in this part of the world.
